If you are looking for a less glamorous place to spend your night in Riga, head to Café Leningrad near the old city’s canal.
Built in the basement of a fancy Art Noveau building, the place is a funny mix of Soviet old-fashioned furniture and piles of dusty books surrounding a bust of Lenin sitting on a corner. Food and drinks are not amazing, but the place definitely is.

Built in a modern mix of wooden floor and brick walls a little stage, “The Trumpet” (now renamed as Sidrerija) is an intimate bar in the Old Town of Riga that captivates both locals and travellers alike.
The food is quite decent but a bit expensive, as well as the drinks. Nevertheless, the atmosphere and live music you will experience there is worth every penny.

The “Weed cultural centre” is an interesting place to begin (or end) your night in Riga.
One of its kind, Kanepes Kulturas Centrs is a creative art place set in a dilapidated wooden building that holds different cultural events, cinema evenings and live music performances.

Have a drink at its cool patio surrounded by crowds of hipsters.

Tallinas Kvartals
The trendiest social hub for the hipster community in Riga is this famous courtyard in the middle of old factory buildings decorated by the coolest street art.
A couple of vintage bars (check out the cool Tallinas Pagalms), concert venues and food joints occupy the premises around the big courtyard filled with old wooden pallets and metal barrels as an improvised sitting area.
